Much of the series is filmed at Bad Wolf Studios in Cardiff Bay. This large studio, covering 250,000 square feet, houses many sets for the show. For example, they have a replica of Oxford University’s Bodleian Library where Diana finds Ashmole 782. The interior of Bishop House, and the meeting rooms of the Congregation, were also built here. Parts of the set from previous seasons were recycled to save costs.

Aberglasney Gardens, Carmarthenshire, Wales

When Diana and Matthew return to the present from the past, they go to the de Clermont family castle, Sept-Tours, in France. The beautiful Aberglasney Gardens, a medieval estate famous for its gardens, served as the setting for Sept-Tours’ courtyard.
