- This is the first movie for which J.J. Abrams received a screen credit. He was only 16 at the time. He came to know about Don Dohler from one of his articles in Cinemagic, a local film magazine. Interested, Abrams got in touch with Dohler, who then asked him if he would be intrigued to score the film. Although the movie was shot in Baltimore, Maryland, Abrams, residing in Los Angeles, sent his contributions to Dohler via post.
- A continuity error occurs in the film with Suzie’s shirt. It switches from being unbuttoned to buttoned up without any logical sequence, as she tries to exit her house.
