- The film, during its premiere run in major cities, initially had 12 reels. However, despite objections from the director, Cecil B. DeMille, it was eventually cut down to just 10 reels.
- In a scene, when Trent finds the sword, he initially holds the hilt in his right hand. But in the next close-up shot, the hilt switches to his left hand. When the scene cuts back again, the sword is back in his right hand. A little observation reveals that the close-up shot was inserted upside down.
